SkyLuxe on the Park celebrates its context of Bukit Jalil Recreational Park and the Golf and Country Resort. Located on a 1.85-acre site within a maturing sub-urban neighbourhood surrounded by green enclaves, the project aspired to make all 477 homes as destinations of retreat. Its emphasis on the park’s main entrance is seen as a given to establish a symbiotic connection with nature. Hence the story of its adopted moniker as a Gateway to Bukit Jalil’s Recreational Park.

A play of solids and voids was the main approach to address its density. The bifurcation of the tower block above breaks the potential monotony of form. As one block converses with the park while the other with the scenic golf course, the in-between space retains a more private conversation with the landscaped amenities below. The ground floor addresses the two adjacent entrances with its three immediate contexts of the main road, park entrance and park proper. This resulted in a mostly open-plan entry level with a comprehensive layering of vehicular and people circulations, whilst ensuring a natural comfortable environment.

Heavily landscaped setbacks, a hanging garden with a waterfall cascading off the podium are extensions of the park. Above, elevations of both tower blocks are subdued with perforations of spaces and embossed volumes. SkyLuxe is more than just a sanctuary for its dwellers; it is a totem signifying the neighbouring natural reserve.

Collectively, they are an equitable design intent to allow all individual homes to optimise a visual connection with their respective scenes.
